Obituary from The St. Clair County Republican, Osceola, St. Clair, MO, Thursday, Jan. 11, 1923:

Dennis Rosier was born May 6, 1858 in Baltimore county, Maryland, died in Pueblo, Colorado, January 3, 1923, being sixty-four years, seven months and twenty-eight days of age at the time of his death. With his parents he moved to Illinois when a small boy, thence to Linn county, Missouri. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Shore April 5, 1891, to this union were born seven children, Mrs. Edna Smith and Lavina Worthington of Collins, Mrs. Lola Igo and Mrs. Katie Sharp of Los Animas, Colorado, Fern and Wayne Rosier of Venice, Colorado, and Mrs. Anna E. Worthington who preceded him to the better world October 24, 1915. His wife, six children, eight grandchildren, one brother P. H. Rosier of Wilcox, Nebraska, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sellick and Miss Anna Rosier of Meadville, Mo., survive him. He was a firm believer in christianity, always respected religious worship but never united with any church. As a citizen he was honest and upright, a very industrious, hard working man and was highly respected for his integrity and uprightness as can be attested by his many friends who knew him in this community. We extend to the sorrowing wife and children our profound sympathy. He was a member of the Modern Woodman of America Camp No. 2388, Meadville, Mo, having been a member for about twenty-four years. Mr. Rosier's body was brought to Collins and taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Worthington, and was buried at the Freeman cemetery Saturday.

Card of Thanks--- We wish to thank our many friends for the kindness shown us during the illness and death of our husband and father.--- Mrs. Dennis Rosier and family.
