Enoch Collins was one of the pioneer settlers of Lowndes County, Ga and Plant City, Florida.
1st wife: March 9, 1827, Fatima Knight do Rev. Samuel Knight and Mary Roberts Knight. They had 15 children 11 of which grew to adulthood. Those 11 were Eliza, William, John Samuel, Hardy H, Enoch, Jr., Mary Ellen, Sarah Jane, James Newman, Daniel Jackson and Jesse. After Fatima's death (abt 18467 possibly in Alachua County, Florida)and Collins remarriage those children went to live with the grandfather Knight at Hichipukassa.
2nd wife: 1848, Elizabeth Guthrie in Alachua County, Florida. Their children were Perry, Virginia, Joel, Elizabeth and Jasper. Elizabeth died in 1855 soon after the birth of her last child.
3rd wife: April 25, 1858, Widow Temperance Starling Haywood,Hillsborough, County, Florida, daughter of Levi Starling. Their nine children were: Martha A., Susannah, Alice, Julius L, Kizzie, Frances, Mennie, Marion, Edward. Mennie is buried beside Enoch and Temperance.
