Mentioned in the obituary of his son from an "Out of Past" summary news article in the Lititz Record Express on Thursday, 12 Jul 2012.
"Robert N, Wolle, one of the most prominent and respected business men of Lititz, died at 6 o'clock on Friday evening of last week at his home on E. Main street after a long illness. He suffered for nine years with progressive paralysis, but of late other complications set in and caused his death. His age was 62 years and 4 days.
Robert Nathaniel Wolle was born July 1, 1850, in Lititz in the stone house adjoining the store in which all his life was spent and where he died. He was the son of Nathaniel S. and Angelica Miksch Wolle and was descended from a very old Moravian family, which, on the mother's side, can be traced back 450 years to Bohemia. He was educated in Beck's Academy and at Nazareth Hall, Nazareth.
After leaving school he served as clerk in his father's store, the oldest store in Lititz, found 1765, and took charge of the store when the former retired in 1881. In 1880 he married Miss Alice Reist and next year started housekeeping in the house adjoining the store, his parents having built and occupied a house in the church square. He was connected with the Moravian church all his life, was a member of the trombone choir, a member of the Sunday School orchestra, secretary of the Sunday School, agent for the "Moravian" and also an elder for several terms. He started the teachers' and Bible Class library in the Sunday School in the early seventies. He was an honorary member of the W.C.T.U.
The surviving relatives are the widow, two sons, Nathaniel and Theodore, who have charge of the store, one brother, Charles, of Germantown, and one sister, Miss Esther, teacher at Linden Hall.
The funeral was held on Monday afternoon with services at the Moravian Sunday School Chapel and interment in the Moravian graveyard. The Rev. E. S. Hagen officiated, assisted by Mr. Irwin Deer [Derr?]. The pall bearers were: Amos Bomberger, Charles N.]Derr, Clement Badorf and H. C. Seldomridge."
