-Doris 'Babe' M. Hanson, 83, Coeur d'Alene, died Aug. 3, 2005, at Kootenai Medical Center. Born Feb. 2, 1922, in Pasco, Wash., to Bessie (Fancher), from Missouri, and Ebb Thomas, from Illinois, Doris moved with her family from Pasco to Coeur d'Alene in 1923. On Aug. 6, 1951, she married Frans 'Fritz' Hanson in Coeur d'Alene. She was a homemaker. Doris was a member of First Christian Church in Coeur d'Alene. Survivors include her stepson Clyde Hanson of Grangeville; stepdaughter Barbara Month, Vista, Calif.; brothers Harold Thomas and Leslie Thomas, both of Coeur d'Alene; and numerous nieces and nephews. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Fritz Hanson on June 22, 2001, brothers Franklin and Virgil, and sister Evelyn Michelson.
-Viewing will start 10 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 8, both at ENGLISH FUNERAL CHAPEL, Coeur d'Alene. Burial will be at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Kootenai Humane Society, P. O. Box 1005, Hayden Lake, ID 83835.
