Lance Corporal Michael Tosh, 19, died in action in Vietnam Tuesday. He was the son of Mrs. Margerite Boller, 1922 S. High St., and Emmit Tosh, RR 1.

He was reported killed in action while serving with the 1st battery, 3rd battalion, 11th Marines, a part of the Third Marine Division at Quang-Nam.

A 1965 graduate of Southside High School, Cpl. Tosh joined the Marines in 1966. His basic and advanced training was taken at San Diego, Calif., before he was sent overseas in April of this year.

He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Barbara Whaley, Muncie; four step-sisters; one step-brother; and his grandmother in Valley, Calif.

Military services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Meeks Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and before services on Saturday. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory.
