Wilbur Stanley Hartsell, 97, of Vandalia, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Audrain Medical Center, Mexico, Missouri.
Mr. Hartsell was born in Elvins, Missouri on July 18, 1914, the son of the late William Brownlow and Anna Eva (Stanfield) Hartsell.
He was the husband of Florence "Corky" O. (Thomas) Hartsell. They were married for nearly 72 years. They were united in marriage on March 23, 1940 at Marquand, Missouri. She survives in Vandalia. He is also survived by one son,four daughters,26 grandchildren,36 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two sons Fred & Norman Hartsell.
Wilbur worked as a machinist for Heitz Machine & Die Company and was a member of the International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Local 41.
