Services for Gary Rogers, 58, Combine, will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church with Interment following at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Gary was born on July 10, 1953 to parents Bette Lou (Elliot) and Thomas Carl Rogers in Dallas, Texas and passed away peacefully at his residence on January 3, 2012. Gary retired from the Coppell Fire Department in 2009. He was a member of the International Fire Fighters Association and the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas. He also worked for the City of Dallas Marshall's Office for 6 years, the Seagoville Fire Department for 5 years and ended his fire career at the Coppell Fire Department where he courageously served for 24 years. Gary was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Cheryl Rogers of Combine, children; Aaron Rogers and his wife Kristin of Forney, Amanda Kirkpatrick and her husband Kristopher, Jeremy Baker and Justin Baker all of Combine, 10 grandchildren, his mother Bette Rogers of Mesquite, brother Jeff Rogers and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield and sister Deborah Crook and her husband Robert of Cleburne as well as numerous other family members and loving friends. The family would like to thank everyone for the support they have received during this most difficult time.
