Funeral services for Ezzie F. Lewellyan, age 79 of Columbia, will be held Friday at 1PM from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with the Rev. Bruce McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Columbia Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 11 AM until service time.
Ezzie Faye Lewellyan was born on December 3 [sic 14], 1932 in Columbia, LA to the union of his parents, the late Ezzie Roosevelt Lewellyan and Janie Martiele Lee Lewellyan. He passed from this life on January 4, 2012 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe following an extended illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bernice Flink Lewellyan. Mr. Lewellyan was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving Mr. Lewellyan are his children, Lorrie Lewellyan Raya and Vickie Lewellyan both of Pico Rivera, California; and his son John Lewellyan of Bella Vista, Arkansas; his brother, Judge Ronald L. Lewellyan of Columbia, and two grandchildren, Matthew Raya of Los Angeles and Olivia Raya of Whittier, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard Brown, Bob Frazier, Charles "Buddy" Page, Kim Lemelin, Tony Wyant, and Matthew Raya.
Honorary pallbearers are Bob Lee, H.L. Lee, Don Gregory, and Bill Yelvington.
