Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Annapolis,
died Thursday at his home
after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Andrews retired in 1968 as
vice president and general manager
of the DeMet's Candy Corp m Chicago,
for which he worked more
than 40 years
After retiring, he moved to the
Greek island of Rhodes, where he
organized a library and folk art
museum at Apollona which were
presented to the Greek government
He also established the island's first
school of animal husbandry and its
first agricultural education agency
He was born in Rhodes, and came
to the United States to study at the
University of Chicago. He received &
master of economics degree and
taught at the university's school of
business administration during the
1920s. He lived in Annapolis during
the late 1960s, and moved to Jacksonville
3 1/2 years ago from Rhodes
He was a founder and past president
of the Pan-Rhodian Society of
America
Survivors include his wife of 45
years, the former Mary Evans, and
a sister, Katrina, of Rhodes
