Glen S. Kelley, 70, of Benton died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012, at the Masonic & Odd Fellows Cemetery in Benton with Brother Larry Bullock officiating. There will be no visitation; those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
The Morton & Johnson Funeral Home in Benton is in charge of arrangements.
Glen was born in West City on Sept. 27, 1941, the son of Arnold and Maggie "Funny" (Cooper) Kelley, both of whom preceded him in death.
He is survived by his two children, Teresa Kelley Foster and Dan Kelley; two grandsons, Steven and Brett Foster; great-granddaughter, Jada Foster; and his beloved companion, Mary Jane Tasky. Glen also leaves behind a large and loving family, including three brothers, Elmo Kelley, Ronnie Kelley, and Faron Kelley and wife Carmel; two sisters, Lisa Absher, and Joann Helvey and husband Ron; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Glen had a deep love for dogs, especially for his longtime pet, Gypsy, so for those who wish, memorials may be made to the Franklin County Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers.
Guests are invited to join the family for dinner at The Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 201 E. Washington in Benton, immediately following the service.
