Olie H. (Hirst) Adam, 79, of Denver, formerly of Kutztown, died Jan. 3, 2012, in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading.
She was the widow of Walter C. L. Adam, who died April 29, 1997.
Born in Sackets Harbor, NY, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel M. (Dyer) Hirst.
Mrs. Adam was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown. She was employed as a packer by Bachman Pretzel Co., Muhlenberg Twp., for over 30 years, retiring in 2001.
Olie enjoyed casinos, baking, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include daughters, Karen M. (Yohn) Fox, companion of James B. Shivers, Shillington, and Sharon L. Yohn, Reading; son, Robert A. Yohn, Reinholds, West Cocalico Twp.; and brothers: Cody N. Hirst and Edwin R. Hirst, both of Watertown, NY, Andrew F. Hirst, Exeter, NH, and Harry S. Hirst, Clayton, NY.
She is also survived by one grandson and a great-grand-daughter.
She was predeceased by a sister, Marianne J. (Hirst) Clarke, and brothers: Robert E. Hirst, William R. Hirst, Albert E. Hirst, and John D. Hirst.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the Ludwick Funeral Home, 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, with the Rev. Paul D. Hansen officiating. Interment in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Kutztown. Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
