Adolph I. Bentaas
Adolph I. "Duffy" Bentaas, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1997, at Southwest Washington Medical Center of an abdominal aneurysm.
A Vancouver resident for the past 57 years, Mr. Bentaas was a longshoreman. He was born Sept. 10, 1908, in Astoria, S.D. Mr. Bentaas was a member of the Longshoremen's and Warehousemen's Union, Local 4. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing and supporting his grandchildren at sporting events.
Survivors include his wife, Marie W., at home; one son, Robert J. of Vancouver; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel. The casket will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Passi Cemetery in Woodburn, Ore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
