"Ida B. Schultz Retired Nurse, 93
Ida B. Schultz, a former resident of Fremont Center, lost her battle with emphysema on January 27, 2001. She was 93 years of age.
The daughter of the late Henry and Barbara Gerhardt Bischoff, she was born July 31, 1907, in the Town of Fremont. She was the widow of Clifford Schultz who died in 1976.
She and Mr. Schultz, a photo engraver for the New York Sun, maintained a home on Long Island where they raised their two daughters. They kept their Fremont home for summer sojourns until his death. Mrs. Schultz remained a subscriber of the Sullivan County Democrat up until her death.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert Christiansen of Levittown; five grandchildren, Robert C. Christiansen of Chicago, Ill., Diane Jennett of Southwick, Mass., Nancy Bachety of Sayville, Janice Schein of Ward, Colo., and Laura Brower of Westmont, Ill.; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Grant, who died in 1991. Cremation was private.
Interment of the cremains will be made at the Fremont Center Cemetery on Memorial Day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fremont Center Community Church, Fremont Center, N.Y. 12736".
