D. Stahlman Dies At 68 In Hospital

Donald C. Stahlman, 68, of ½ Pearl Ave., died at 9:15 am Saturday (July 28, 1973) in the Franklin hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born August 24, 1904, in Clarion County a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. (Charles) Clinton Stahlman. He attended Clarion and Cranberry schools.

Mr. Stahlman was married to the former Mary Lytle in 1927 at The Help of Christians Church in Oil City. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 50 years and, at the time of his retirement in 1969, was crew dispatcher. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks and Trainmen. Surviving are his wife, Mary, one son, Joseph Stahlman of Oil City, two brothers, Orlando Stahlman and Roy Stahlman, both of Oil City, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. A son, Donald Jr. preceded him in death in 1966.

Removal was made to the Joseph Reinsel Funeral Home where friends may call anytime after 10 am. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and to 9 pm today. There will be a mass of the Resurrection at 10 am Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
