Mr. Floyd Jefferson Huffstetler, age 86 of 2386 Gaston Webbs Chapel Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.

His funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow in the Leonard's Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Huffstetler was born August 5, 1925 in Gaston County to the late John Jefferson and Bertha Ramsey Huffstetler.

He worked for the North Carolina Department of Highways.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Scism Huffstetler of the home; three sons, Todd Husffstetler and wife Christy, David Huffstetler, and Michael Huffstetler and wife Cecilia, all of Lincolnton; two daughters, Margaret McDonald and husband Ricky of Lincolnton, and Roxanne Rayfield and husband Tim of Cherryville; two brothers, Johnny Huffstetler and Harold Huffstetler, both of Lincolnton; six grandchildren, Kasey Wing, Trent Rayfield, Ryan Rayfield, Rick McDonald, April Shook, Jonathan Chase Huffstetler; and five great-grandchildren, Cheyene McDonald, Kaleb McDonald, Andrew McDonald, Hannah Shook, and Abigail Shook.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
