Ginger Lee Thompson, 69, of 485 Thompson Lane, Driftwood, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, after being struck by a car in Brookville, Fla.

Ginger was a member of the Class of 1960 at Williamsport High School, a member of the Moose, V.F.W. and American Legion in Driftwood and enjoyed feeding the birds and wildlife near her home. She and her husband spent their winters in Florida.

Born Aug. 21, 1942 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Ralph and Mary L. Allan Flook.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, James; daughters, Michelle L. Sprout, Sherry L. Thompson and Cindy L. Berger, all of Harrisburg; a sister, Darla M. Barnfield of Williamsport; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Knight-Confer's, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport, with the Rev. Gary Runtas officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Humane Society Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 233, Okeechobee, Fla. 34973.
