Daniel J. Wysocki

Daniel J. Wysocki, 63, of Erie, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at UPMC Hamot. Daniel was born in Erie on December 5, 1948, a son of the late Francis J. and Dolores Grabowski Wysocki.

Daniel graduated from Academy High School and served in the United States Army.

Daniel retired in 2010 from the EMTA after 29 years of service as a bus driver.

Daniel was a member of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Autism Society, the Siebenbuerger Club, Carl Neff American Legion Post 517 of Wesleyville, and the Lawrence Park Coin Club.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Candace Marie Wysocki; and a brother, Francis J. Wysocki.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara Golubski Wysocki; two daughters, Michelle Breter (Kevin) and Rebecca Strader (Les), all of Erie; one son, Steven Wysocki (Jessica), of Belleville, Ill.; and eight grandchildren, Zachary Breter, Mitchell, Kara, Emma and Anna Wysocki, and Hannah, Alex and Zach Strader. Daniel is further survived by his siblings, Cynthia Porter (Robert), Joseph Wysocki (Audrey), Mark Wysocki, Patrick Wysocki (Chona) and Chrystel Westley (David), all of Oil City, and Charlene Wysocki of Matthews, N.C. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends are invited to call at the Brugger Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
