(July 4, 1932 - November 10, 2011)
Ethel Louise Moore, 79, of Mexia passed away November 10, 2011 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 2PM, Monday, November 14, 2011 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Brian Hallmark and Rev. Harvey Hallmark officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 3-7 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Ethel was born July 4, 2011 in Groesbeck, Texas to Minor Lafayette and Effie Josephine Reese Owen. She was employed at the Mexia Textile Mill, ABCO Furniture Company and the Mexia State School, where she retired. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Ethel was a very devoted and loving mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin R. "Andy" Moore, Sr.; daughter, Cheryl Darleen Moore; son, Calvin R. Moore, Jr.; grandson, Seth Dwight Keathley; great-grandson, Samuel Cohen York; sister, Ruby Moore; and brother, William Owen.
Ethel is survived by her daughters, Marcella Walthall of Groesbeck and Vicki Rivard of Ft. Collins, CO; grandchildren, Patricia Rivard, Douglas Wayne Howard, Jr., Cheryl Dawn Hager, Wyndi Henderson and Billy Jack York, Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mike Symank, William Allen Owen, Mike Jones, Don Archibald, Toby Bain and Doug Howard.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made toward funeral expenses.
