Mrs. Reba A. (Stockman) Astlin, 97, of Frederick, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late George W. Astlin, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1999.

Born January 1, 1919, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Millard C. and Mary (Baker) Stockman.

Reba spent many years working as a line mechanic at Price Electrical before retirement. Reba loved children, volunteering as primary child care provider for community organizations such as the Family Life Center. She was also an extraordinary cook, hosting many memorable holiday family meals and annual family reunion picnics.

Reba absolutely loved bird watching and gardening, planting vegetables out back and tending to magnificent flower beds in front of her home. She even replenished her own bird feeder and tended to flowers and tomato plants in the courtyard at Montevue Assisted Living, where she lived for her last 3 years.

Mrs. Astlin is survived by her sons, Robert B. Ramsburg and wife Kay and Donald P. Ramsburg and wife Tina, stepson, George Woodrow Astlin Jr. and wife Donna; and stepdaughter, Norma Lee Coyner.
