Rachel was a home visitor for NEKCA and more recently, an aide at the NEKCA preschool. Rachel loved M&M candies and she collected M&M figurines, and also collected moose articles.
Her passion was drawing and she designed the logo for Newport City which appears on the City's letterhead. Rachel loved her children and her children loved her,
She is survived by 2 children; Tyrone Ricard and Joseph Ricard both of Newport; by her brothers and sisters; Theresa Ricard of Newport, Roger Ricard and wife Lynn of Windsor, Conn.,Deborah Biron & husband Dale of Newport, and John Ricard Jr. and wife Tammmy of Newport;and by nephews and a niece; Devan Biron, Hannah & John Paul Ricard III.
Funeral Service held 11:00 a.m. Wed. Nov. 26 2008 at the Curtis Britch Funeral Home. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
