~ Mabel Pearl Banzet ~

EDNA – Miss Mabel Pearl Banzet, died at the home of her parents at Bartlett at 2:50 o'clock Saturday afternoon, having been ill of diabetes several years.

Born on a farm near Edna on Jan. 25, 1902, Miss Banzet had been a member of the
Methodist church since early childhood.

Besides her parents she is survived by five sister, Mrs. Frank McCorkle, Joplin, Mrs. Almond Dewey, Coffeyville, Mrs. Ethel Bell, Altamont, Mrs. Dale Dunham, Oswego, and Mrs. Marie Collins, Welch, Okla., and seven brothers, Albert and Ernest Banzet, Bartlett, Ora and Emmett, Edna, Martin of Los Angeles, Leonard in the Navy and Donald of the Army. A sister, Mrs. Allean Kimrey, preceded her in
death a year ago in January.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Edna Methodist church with the Rev. J. Richard Williams officiating. Burial will be in North Edna cemetery. The body will be removed Tuesday afternoon from the Goodwin funeral home at Bartlett where it will lie in state until the hour of the service.
