Scott E. Hughes, born October 4, 1954 passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bellevue on July 8, 2009. He graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. in Education and Masters degree in linguistics. He taught English as a second language in Ironton and Parkersburg. He also taught at Sandusky High School from 1986-1997, where he was an academic advisor and involved with classes to help raise money for that class, ending with their senior prom. He is survived by his wife K.C. (Karen), nephew Adam, Leah (Paul), sisters Caroline and Merrilee (David), and brother Randy (Julia) and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Dale, and brother, Donovan. Services were held in Beverly, Ohio and internment was at the Waterford Cemetery in Waterford, Ohio, his place of birth.
