Torkel Martub Attleson was born in 1881 in Chickasaw County, IA. Ed Attleson along with Joe Goeden, Frank
Breuer, and a Mr. Bushe, organized the Bluffton Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Ed wrote insurance for years driving around the countrywith a team and buggy. Later, when his son, Torkel, more commony known as Tom, retired from farming, he and Tom's son, Arthur, wrote insurance with the same company, along with other companies.

Tom M. Attleson died on November 21, 1959, at the age of 78, at Fergus Falls, MN.

He is buried at the Verndale Green Lawn Cemetery, N 1/2 of Lot 7, Block 10.

Tom married ANNA CAROLINE (Nannie) JACOBSON on March 20, 1906, in Howard County, Saude, IA.

In 1919 and 1920, Tom's occupation was listed as "Farm Implement Dealer". Tom Attleson was also manager of the Farmers Shipping Association and' Livestock for a while.

Anna Attleson was born in 1879 and died on November 30, 1968, at the age of 89 in Wadena, MN. She is buried at the Verndale Green Lawn Cemetery, N 1/2 of Lot 23, Block 11.
