Evelyn G Kempton was born in Terry, September 6, 1908, the daughter of Sophie and Sanford Kempton. She moved with her family to Keldron SD, as a young girl and grew up there. She attended rural school, then graduated from Morristown SD high school.
Following her marriage to Clarence L "Dick" Hoisington in 1927, they farmed in the Watauga area until his death in 1953. Mrs Hoisington moved in 1954 to Aberdeen, where she was employed as a seamstress until moving again, to a place north of Lemmon.
Mrs Hoisington, 79, died at the Hettinger ND, hospital, Sunday, September 6, 1987. Services were held in Lemmon SD and interment was in the Watauga Cemetery.
She is survived by five sons; two brothers, Norman Kempton of Satellite Beach FL, and Oliver Kempton of Peever SD; three sisters, Vivian Dayton and Amy Kurtz of Lemmon and Fern Benson of Morristown; 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
