Miss Verdie A. Snell, of Stemphleytown, died very unexpected at her mother's home on Friday evening of last week. She went to school Thursday evening appearing in her usual good health, but was soon after suddenly attacked with the painful illness from which she died twenty-four hours later. She was in the 19th year of her age. Her remains were deposited in the cemetery at Beaver Creek church on Sunday, where the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. John W. Click to a large number of sympathizing friends.
