Mrs. Cox was a woman of admirable qualities and character and one who was highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves many to mourn her departure.
She is survived by six sons and five daughters: Frank and Walter of Elizabeth, Charles W. of Farmington; Royal, of Slate; Trevey, of Masontown, and Roscoe C. of Newell; Mrs. Bertha Richards, Big Springs; Mrs. Lilly White, White Rose; Mrs. Winnie Simmons, Dunbar; Mrs. Bernice Powell of Elizabeth, Rt. 1, and Mrs. Flossie Bonell of Mannington. A daughter, Mrs. Grace Whipkey, died several years ago. A granddaughter, Miss Cozie Whipkey, made her home with her for several years. She had sixty-nine granchildren of whom forty-nine are living. Mr. Cox died April 14, 1919.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the local M.E. Church, and burial was made in the K. of P. Cemetery.
