HORACE SPENDLOVE
Horace Spendlove, 65. of 6248 Drexel boulevard, formerly of this community, died Wednesday morning March 11, in Mercy
hospital. Mr. Spendlove was born in Chicago, Juno 7, 1887, the son of Robert, and Mary, nee Doar, Spendlove. and lived in the Pullman-Roselianid community most of his lifetime. He had been residing in the Woodlawn communly for the past 17 years. He was employed by The Pullman Company for over 35 years, and for the past 21 years had been employed as stationary engineer at the Pullman Company laundry,43rd and Shields. Mr. Spendlove was the father of the late Robert O.; grandfather of Robert H.: father-in-law of Mrs. Jessie Geiger; brothsr of Mrs. Domthy DuPere, and Mrs. Edith Rutter, residing in California The remains were at rest in the Doty Funeral Home from Thursday evening, March 5, until the Hour of the funeral services Saturday afternoon, March 7, at 1:30 o'clock. The, Paul L. Sturapf officiated, assisted by John C. Sloan, soloist, and Victor E. Olson, organist. Interment was in the family lot in Mount Hope cemetery.
