Dennis N. Melton, 47, of Annapolis, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Annapolis Church of Christ, 1601 Ritchie Highway in Arnold.
Mr. Melton died June 7 at North Arundel Hospital from
injuries suffered in an auto accident earlier that day.
Mr. Melton was born in New Albany, Ind., the son of Delores B. Melton Barker of Pensacola. Fla..and the late Julius J Melton He was a graduate of Indiana University and was working on his master's degree in real estate finance at Johns Hopkins University at the time of his death. He had served in the Army Reserve. An administrator for the Mary land Department of Housing and Community Development since 1987. he also ran a private certified public accounting business from his home, Mr. Melton enjoyed studying history, collecting antiques, running and reading. He volunteered his services at Annapolis Elementary School. He was a deacon at the.Annapolis Church of Christ and belonged to •the -Annapolis Striders Running
Club. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants .and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jean W Melton,
whom he married in 1984; two daughters, Katherine Hannah and Julia Elizabeth Melton of the home; a brother. Gary Melton of Georgetown, Ind.; and a sister, Julie Melton Patterson of Pensacola.
