MISHAWAKA - Mary F. Nelson, 95, passed away at home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Mary was born on May 1, 1916 in Terre Haute, IN to George and Malinda (Davis) Nidiffer. She was preceded in death by her parents. On September 9, 1934 as the former Mary Nidiffer she married Joseph A. Nelson who preceded her in death on May 6, 1979. Surviving are a son, Darwin (Betty) Nelson of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Pamela (Jeff) Crawford, Jeannie (Jon) Keppler, Andrea (Patrick) Biggs, Marsha (Jeff) Bella and Brian (Andrea) Nelson; 13 great grandchildren, Danielle Willingham, Janell Willingham, Eric Biggs, David Simpkins, Jason Biggs, Kim (Matthew) Klawiter, Taylor Simpkins, Andrew Biggs, Alyssa Bella, Matthew Biggs, Haley Bella, Dominic Bella and Preston Nelson; three great great grandchildren, Anabel Willingham, Levi Hall and Zack Klawiter; a sister, Beatrice Davis of Marion, IN and a nephew, Ron (Jackie) Tutorow. Mary was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salvation Army, and she attended Grace Brethren Church. Visitation for Mary will be on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. following the visitation, in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Joseph.
