DEATHS
Will DeBruyn
Will DeBruyn, 84, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., died Friday at 12:45 p.m. in a Pompano Beach, Fla., hospital.
He formerly owned and operated the Wooden Shoe service station and cafe at 1804 Albia Road. He was a member of the First Christian Church before moving to Florida 14 years ago.
He was born Jan. 28, 1887, in Iowa, the son of John and Jane Swank DeBruyn.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel of florida; two sons, Donald (Jim) Kerr of Pompano Beach, Fla., and William H. DeBruyn of Iowa City; one daughter, Mrs. Elizebeth King.; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd R. Kerr, who was killed in World War II in 1945, and DeVern DeBruyn.
The casket will arrive at the Johnson Funeral Chapel late Sunday.

Funeral services for Will DeBruyn, 84, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., and formerly of Ottumwa, who died Friday, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Goins of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
