Phyllis C. Rigdon, 92, of Alma died Saturday December 21, 2019 at Twin Oaks Convalescent Center after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon county. Daughter of the late Dannie Carter and Addie Crosby Carter and was preceded in death by her husband U V (Bud) Rigdon. Phyllis was a member of Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son Mitchel Rigdon (Nancy) of Alma, a daughter, Danette Rigdon of Alma, a sister-in-law Verlene McDonald of Alma, three grandchildren, Lauris Mullis (Marty), Lindsey Music (Chris), step granddaughter Christy Tyre (Phil), also three great grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 P M at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Hutcheson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Level Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church Monday from 12 noon until funeral time at 2:00 o’clock.

Active pallbearers will, Darrell V. Douglas, George Lawton Johnson, Chester Johnson, Steve Rigdon, Malcom (Pete) Peterson, and John Tanner.

Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
