Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian church here for Mrs. Mary Rodgers, about 65, who died yesterday in Independence.
Mrs. Rodgers was housekeeper at the Guy Cox residence in Independence, and died at the Cox home. Mrs. Cox is confined to the home because of a broken hip.
Mrs. Rodgers had been at her Bartlett home over Easter for a visit with her husband, Felix, and friends. She returned Monday to Independence. About 10 a.m. yesterday she complained to Mrs. Cox of feeling ill and retired to her room. Her body was found at noon by Sam Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cox when he arrived home from school.
Burial will be in the Lake Creek cemetery here. The Potts Funeral home of Independence is in charge.
