September 26, 2008 David F. Witty of Lake Ariel died Friday at Mercy Hospice after an illness. His wife of 21 years is the former Mary Canfield. He was born in Portland, Ore. A Native American, he was a member of the Kaw Nation, Kaw City, Okla. A memorial service will be Oct. 11 at 3 p.m. in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St. Newtown, Conn., with the Rev. S. Mike Eskra officiating. Friends may call Oct. 11, 1 to 3 p.m.
