Oldest daughter of Benjamin and Eve (Hahn) Cover, was born deaf, never married, sister Susannah Cover Crumbacher took care of her after her parents died. She was 9 years old when they left Carroll County, Maryland and came to eastern Ohio in Columbiana County where her Hahn grandparents had settled. She lived from 1817-1851 at her parents home/farm at the corner of Unity and Youngstown-Pittsburg Road. Actually longer because Susannah and husband David Crumbacher bought the farm after Benjamin died. In the parents will, Susannah and her husband were given $ 600.00 to use the interest on Catherine during her lifetime. After her death, they could keep the money for themselves. Ben and Eve wanted to make sure that Catherine and Joshua (both deaf-mutes) were taken care of.David died in his 50's and Susan sold the old family farm and house on Unity and Youngstown-Pittsburgh Roads.
