The former Eileen Fernburg was born October 24, 1923 in Nelsonville, Ohio the daughter of George Fernburg and Dessie (Dawley) Fernburg. On November 25, 1944 in Champaign, IL Eileen married Carleton "Scotty" Langtry. She and Scotty were married for 58 years before he preceded her in death on June 29, 2002.
Eileen Langtry proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was employed as a secretary with Maxey Boys Training School before her retirement in 1984. She was a member of H.S.C., The V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She was the wife of the late Scotty Langtry and the mother of Carleen (Dean) Peters of Eaton Rapids, Linda (the late Duane) Rich of Eaton Rapids, Gwen (Rockey) Bennett of Pinckney, Jan (Roger) Eichstead of Brighton, Jeff (Lisa) Langtry of Pinckney, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son-in-law Tony Castro, grandsons, Alan and Jamie, great granddaughter Hannah.
