Leslie Clarence Arneson, 45, of Hysham, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at RiverStone Hospice in Billings.

Leslie was born February 25, 1966 in Forsyth, MT to Clarence Oscar and Constance Jean (Foust) Arneson. He attended Grade School and High School in Hysham, MT graduating in 1984.

After graduating he attended Sheridan Community College in Sheridan, WY and Eastern Montana College in Billings, MT.

Leslie married Deitra Dawn Barrus on August 26, 1989. Together they have three children, Bryce Evan Arneson of Billings, MT, Chase Camden Arneson and Chyenne McKenzie Arneson of Hysham, MT.

Leslie's occupations included farming and ranching on the family farm, Redlands and Lackman farms, Road Foreman with Treasure County Road Dept, Undersheriff with Treasure County Sheriff Dept, Farmers Union Oil Co, and Apprentice Lineman with Mid Yellowstone Electric Co.

He was very active in his community and helped out anyone whenever he could. He helped with youth groups and was on the Hysham Volunteer Ambulance. He was a past member of the Hysham Volunteer Fire Dept, Treasure County Sheriffs Reserve, Treasure County Rec Board and Treasure County Conservation District Board.

Leslies passions in life were his family - especially his children. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, training his hunting dogs and hunting pheasants.

Leslie is survived by his wife Deitra, his children, Bryce, Chase and Chyenne, his father, Clarence, his Stepmother, Alice Rae Arneson, his sister, Laura Jean (William) Willems of Hysham, MT, his sister, Julia (Brian) Tagney of Kimball, MN, and brother, Brian (Danette) Arneson of Billings, MT. He was preceded in death by his mother, Constance Jean Arneson.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Burial followed at Ranchers Cemetery.
