Mrs. Abadie was a native of New Orleans and had been a resident of Hattiesburg for the past 41 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a member of the church visitation committee, the altar society, the rosary group and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Abadie Jr.; and her parents, Walter and Madeline Carey Gabosh.
Survivors include four sons, Chuck Abadie of Hattiesburg, Walter Abadie of Long Beach, John Abadie of Moselle and Greg Abadie of Ridgeland; two daughters, Susan Arrington of Hattiesburg and Madeline Beard of Madison; two sisters, Margaret Gabosh of New Orleans and Madeline Laporte of Metairie; and nine grandchildren.
A service will be at 10 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in Highland Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of arrangements.
