Laurens: Jodie A. Martin McKee,88, of Route 5, Ranch Road, husband of Nonie Marler McKee died late Tuesday in Laurens Nursing Center. A native of Laurens County, son of the late Andrew and Mary Jane Puckett McKee, he was a retired weaving supervisor at Laurens Mill, a mason and member of Rossie Walker Lodge having served as first Secretary of that lodge. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Laurens.
Surviving ar his wife of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Lillie) Workman of Laurens; one step-son, Turbee Maler of Laurens; one sister; Mrs. Andrella Thomas of Centerville, Mass.; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 4 pm Thursday at Second Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Smith, Rev. Grange Cothran and Rev. J.B. Abercrombie. Burial with Masonic Rites will be in Rose Hill Cemetary.
The body will be placed in the church at 3 pm Thursday.
The family is at the home of a daugter, Mrs. Lillie Workman, Route 5, Ranch Road. Kennedy Mortuary is in charge.
