Newberry, Jan 15-----Mrs. Driggers, wife of the Rev. E. P. Driggers of the Mollohon mill village, died at her home Tuesday morning some time between 2 and 7 o'clock. She had not been well during the night, but at 2 o'clock she was resting; when someone went to her room at 7 o'clock she was dead. The body was buried today in the cemetery of Watts Mill, Laurens. She is survived by her husband and two little girls and by her mother, four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Driggers before her marriage was Miss McKee of Laurens.

Wife of Rev. E. P. Driggers of Newberry Buried at Watts Mills Wednesday

Quite a cloud of sadness has again come over our town and community on last Tuesday morning, January 13th, when news was received that Mrs. E. P. Driggers, wife of Rev. E. P. Driggers, had very suddenly passed away at her home in Newberry. Her death was a shock to each and all, though it was not altogether unexpected as she had been in declining health for quite a while. The funeral services was held Wednesday, following, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. Ferkran of Newberry, after which her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at this place.
Mrs. Driggers was aged 30 years. She was before her marriage Miss Cleo McKee. She had been a member of the Baptist Church for a number of years. She leaves a husband and two daughters, Misses Pauline and Mildred Driggers. Se also leaves a mother, four brothers, and five sisters as follows: Mrs. Mary J. McKee, of this place; T. E. McKee of Greenville, J. D., J. A., and Bennie McKee all of Greenwood; Mrs. N. H. Hill and Mrs. R. L. Patton of Gray Court; Mrs. G. H. Stewart, Mrs. S. W. Wilson, and Miss Andrella McKee all of Watts Mills. Besides her relatives she leaves a large circle of friends who extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved husband and children and to the entire family, in their bereavement.
