Daughter of Richard R. Wigley & Minerva Mackey. Married Henry Teague Pitts on December 19, 1865 in Resaca, Gordon County, Georgia. Her mother-in-law Mildred "Mille" [Clore] Pitts lived with her for many years. Tempa's husband H. T. Pitts died in 1883 at the age of 47, Tempa never remarried. After his death she bought 40 acres on April 27, 1885 in Ozark, Arkansas near the Mountain View cemetery & living near to her niece by marriage Georgia Ann [Pitts] Blaylock.

Ozark. Feb. 5. Funeral services for Mrs. Temple Pitts, wife of the late Henry Pitts, former county judge, who died at the home of her son, Mark Pitts, in Oklahoma, were conducted here yesterday.

Mrs. Temple Pitts, wife of the late Henry Pitts of this county, died at her son's in Oklahoma, near Tulsa, Monday night. The body was brought here Wednesday and the funeral took place at Mountain View. She is survived by three sons, Rich, Mark and Finis, and two daughters. Her maiden name was Wigley and was reared at Pleasant Hill, near Mulberry. She was 75 years of age.
