Daughter of John Randolph and Eliza Jane Benson Skipper,wife of John Houston Harrelson.

MULLINS — Mrs. Dorothy Aquilla Skipper Harrelson, 96, widow of John Houston Harrelson, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26 at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Mayers Memorial Park, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harrelson was born June 5, 1911 in Wilmington, NC, a daughter of the late John Randolph and Eliza Jane Benson Skipper. She was a homemaker and a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Harrelson are three daughters, Elizabeth H. (Grady) Flowers of Lake View, Esterline H. (Leslie) Claud of Charlotte, NC and Linda H. (J. D. Butch) Johnson of Shelby, NC; two sons, Larry Davis (Ceal) Harrelson of Garner, NC and Horace Hawk (Kim) Harrelson of Winston-Salem, NC; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Harrelson was predeceased by a son, Travis Harrelson; three brothers, Edward Skipper, Archie Skipper and Walter Skipper; and a sister, Leatha S. Lewis.
