MIFFLINTOWN — Prudie P. Erb, 88, formerly of Enola, died at 10:05 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, 2004 at Brookline Manor, R.R. 1 Mifflintown.
Born Dec. 31, 1916 in Middle Creek, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Palmer A. and Emma Jane (Heimbach) Musser. Her husband, Max E. Erb, whom she married Sept. 25, 1937, died on Dec. 3, 1993.
She is survived by: one son, Kenneth E. Erb and his wife Barbara, Coraopolis, Pa.; two daughters, Gloria M. Shellenberger and her husband Robert, R.R. 1, Thompsontown, Anita L. Rishel, Thompsontown; one niece, Frances Hoffman and her husband Jack, McClure, eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two stepgreat-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
She retired after 20 years as the head cook at the East Pennsboro High School, Enola.
She was a member of the Chapel Hill United Church of Christ, Camp Hill, where she had served as president of Leisure Laity.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, from the McAlisterville Chapel of Brown Funeral Homes, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Carol A. Hertler and Rev. Galen Russell officiating. Interment will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Camp Hill.
Viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, until time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice
