Joe Green and A. L. Burridge played the Good Samaritan to a lad they met on the road last Saturday. The little fellow was limping along when the two picked him up He said that he lived in a house on teh Oswald land near Fortune Lake; that he was going to town to get a present at the Community Christmas tree. This family is in very hard circumstances to Mr. Green took the boy home, gave him a dinner and when he was ready to start for the hall Joe asked him why he limped. The boy said that he had caught a fish hook in his heel several months ago and that the heel remained sore after the hook was pulled out. Mr. Green decided to have the heel investigated so he took the boy to Dr. Bovik who put the X-ray on it and discovered that the bone had become diseased. The heel was immediately treated and the little fellow will probably get well but had Mr. Green not taken the precaution he did and Dr. Bovik the care he took of him, the boy would in all probability lost his foot.
