Fannie May Power (Sprinkel), 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at the home of her daughter, Laura Lilly, in Eagar where she had resided for the past three years. She was born Feb. 19, 1929, in Phoenix to Lloyd Franklin Sprinkel and Fern Laura Caswell.

Fannie enjoyed watching TV games shows, family games and activities, taught Special Ed Sunday School students, fostered 10 children and raised 8 of her own. She was a Blue Bird and Camp Fire Girl leader, and was a lifetime member of Rebekah Lodge Assemblies in Superior.

Fannie met and married Louis Gene Power, the love of her life, in 1948 while attending Nurse's Training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. She began nursing at Chandler Regional Hospital in 1966, retiring in 1980. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was only 14 in Globe, but spent most of her life in Chandler. She was a lifelong member of Chandler First Baptist Church.

Fannie is survived by her sons: Ronald Gene Power, Sr. of San Simon; Gary L. Power of Queen Creek; James Randy Power of San Simon; Steven Louis Power of Glendale; daughters: Laura Laveda Lilly of Eagar; Sandra Lynn Power Nettelmann of Apache Junction; 25 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother (1998), father (1933), husband, Louis Gene Power (1967), son, Oliver Keith Power (1986), and daughter Patricia Diane Sanders (2007).

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel in Phoenix with visitation one hour prior.

Interment will follow services also at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
