MADISON — Sarah DeGregory, age 90 a longtime resident of Madison, died on Friday, February 9, 1996 at a local nursing home. She was born on September 21, 1905 near Palermo, Sicily, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Brashi, and came to the United States as a young child. She had worked for Neesvigs Meat Market for sixteen years. She has been a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses for forty-five years. Survivors include a daughter, Josephine Elliott; a grandson, Larry Elliott; a granddaughter, Toni (James) Johnson, all of Madison; a brother, John (Mary) Brashi of Madison; five sisters, Josephine Blankenheim, Katherine (Vito) Cuccia, Georgina (Edward) Zeller and Elizabeth Brashi, all of Madison, and Ann (Charles) Golding of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; a son, Anthony; and two brothers, Dominic and Vito Brashi. Funeral services will be held at the Gunderson Funeral Home, 5203 Monona Drive at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 1996, with Elder William Reynolds presiding. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wisconsin Heart Fund.
