Thank you for adding her parents. One other note. Her maiden name was Carter. She married Samuel Tanner on 7 Mar 1858 in Coles Co, IL. Other than that marriage record, we can find nothing else on Samuel Tanner. She then married William Purvis on 23 Dec 1867 in Douglas Co, IL.

Ellen Jane Carter Purvis b. 1839 - Father William Price Carter b. 1810- Mother Martha Mays (not sure this is correct) b. 1806 - Siblings: James M.; William Price; Joseph Newton; Eliza Ann; Malinda Walter; Emma; Samuel; 6 Children: Jasper, William, Lucy, Clara, Florence and Frank.
