Noke V. Craig Taken Sunday

Noke Valentine Craig, 77, long time local business man, died at 3:30 p.m.
Sunday at the St. Joseph Hospital.
Mr. Craig had been in the dry cleaning business here since he was a young man,
and had retired 12 years ago. He had been a resident of Centerville for 51
years.
Born in Knoxville Feb. 14, 1880, he was the son of Thompson and Judith Painter
Craig. He was married to Grace Long in Centerville, and the couple lived at 510
West Washington.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Mrs. Hugh Washburn and three
grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Mae Jenkins of Knoxville, and several nieces and
nephews also survive. His parents, two sisters, and six brothers preceded him in
death.
He was a member of the Methodist Church at Knoxville, the Jackson Masonic
Lodge, and the Chapter Commandry of Shriners at Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral
Home, with the Rev. Bruce Matthews officiating. Masonic rites will also be
conducted, and burial will be in the Dale Cemetery.
