"Robert "Bob" Elton Love, 79, Oak Grove, died December 15, 2011, at Oak Grove Nursing Home.
He was born May 30, 1932 in Drumright, Okla., the son of Calvin and Devona Flener Love.
On June 21, 1980, he married Katherine Alice Slape.
Love was a graduate of Dubuque, Ia., High School. He was employed with Lipton Tea Company in Independence.
He was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, Kansas City.
Preceding him in death were two children, Eddie G. and Carolyn Slape; a grandchild, Clarence D. Slape, and three great grandchildren, Thomas A. Slape, Kyle J. A. and Kelly A. D. Messick.
Survivors include his wife of the home; his children, Larry D. and Mary C. Slape, Westville, Okla., Linda J. and Robert D. Goza, Oak Grove, Thomas G. and Kathryn A. Slape, Brookfield, Carol D. and Steve M. Yantis, Kingsland, Tex., Teresa M. Slape, Kansas City; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley; burial was held Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Drumright."
This obituary appeared in the December 22, 2011 edition of Focus on Oak Grove.
