Sheila Dawn Baker was born April 4, 1977 in Ft. Yates, North Dakota to Francis Baker, Sr. and Iris Looking Back. She was raised and educated in Wakpala, South Dakota and Belcourt, North Dakota, later receiving her GED certificate.
Sheila was a very loving caring person. She always tried to be there for her family. She was always smiling and was a very happy person. She loved kids, and enjoyed babysitting.
Sheila would often mention that she wanted to raise the children, as she could not have children herself.
Sheila had been living in Bismarck for the past 9 years and worked at the Ramkota as a housekeeper and at several fast-food places. She was always busy.
Sheila moved to Belcourt for a year and then came home and lived with her mother in Wakpala for a few months and worked at Burger King. She then moved to McLaughlin and lived with her father for a few months before moving back to Belcourt. That's where she was living up until the day she took her journey.
Sheila is survived by her father, Francis (Traci) Baker; mother, Iris (Anthony Stricker) Looking Back; special friend, Christopher DeLong; sisters, Shellie (Art) Desjarlais and Jolinda Baker; brothers, Francis Jr. (Dorothy) Baker and Cedric Baker; half-sisters, Savannah (Adam) White, Rozenna Baker, Rebecca Baker and Courtney Baker along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and other extended family & friends.

Sheila was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jerome & Christine Howard; paternal grandparents, Robert & Ella Baker; uncles, Franklin Gabe and Robert Baker, Jr.; aunties, Leona, Annette, Carol, Cathleen and Alvina and cousins, LeLonna and Marla Baker.
