She was a homemaker and a member of Rabun Creek Baptist Church. She was a member of the Barksdale Narnie H.D. Club. As long as her health permitted, she was very active in her church. Surviving are five daughters, Louise B. Thomas and Sandra B. Pitts, both of Laurens, SC, Sadie B. Prince of Greenwood, SC, Mrs. Lee Orr of Spartanburg, SC, and Mrs. Violet Alm of Hampton, VA; six sons, Calvin C. Babb, Marvin L. Babb, W.M. Babb and Jerry W. Babb, all of Laurens, Billy Ray Babb of Atlanta, GA, and Stewart Chapman Babb, Jr of Gray Court, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Smith of Fountain Inn, SC, Mrs. Ruth Hellams of Gray Court and Mrs. Beatrice Coker of Waterloo, SC; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
